I’ve been recently introduced to the Everything Bagel seasoning from Trader Joe’s and have been experimenting with it ever since! People seem to put it on many different things, so I thought, why not chickpeas?! I wanted an quick, easy, healthy snack that I could make at home and thought I would give roasted chickpeas a try. I have seen so many various seasoning combinations for roasted chickpeas, the possibilities are endless! These are such a healthy snack that is high in plant based protein and fiber. The best part is that they are super crunchy and savory!
How to Make the Everything Bagel Roasted Chickpeas
For this recipe, you will need:
- 1 15 oz can of Chickpeas
- 3 tbsp Everything but the Bagel Seasoning from Trader Joe’s
- 1 tbsp Sesame or Olive Oil
- Dash of salt (optional)
And that’s it! The ingredient list is so short, making this a super easy recipe to whip up in no time!
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Open the can of chickpeas and drain and rinse them thoroughly
- Place the chickpeas on a parchment lined baking tray and spread them out evenly. Don’t add the seasonings yet! Place them in the oven to dry out for 30 min, they should come out somewhat crispy afterwards.
- Take the chickpeas out of the oven and place them into a small bowl and all the rest of the ingredients. Mix well with a spoon until they are completely coated. You can also do this step in a plastic bag to mix everything up!
- Spread the chickpeas out back on the baking tray and place back in the oven for another 30 min. You can leave them in a little longer if you want them extra crunchy!
- Once the chickpeas are baked, allow them to cool before eating them.
- Store them in an air tight container for up to a week or enjoy them immediately.
