Homemade Buttery Flour Tortillas

Easy, buttery, soft homemade flour tortillas the whole family will love!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 C Unbleached All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 C Butter salted
  • 1 C Water

Equipment

  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Method
 

  1. In a medium to large mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder
  2. Melt the butter in 1 cup of warm water, mix until the butter is completely melted
  3. Pour the melted butter and water mixture into the flour mixture
  4. Mix and knead into a soft, round ball of dough (knead for about 2-3 min or until smooth ball of dough is formed).
  5. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let rest for 10 min
  6. Take a ball of dough and divide evenly into 8-10 smaller balls of dough. Transfer back into the bowl, cover, and let rest for 10 more min.
  7. Flour a clean working surface and roll out each ball of dough into a round tortilla shape using a rolling pin
  8. Cook on over medium high heat on a comal or non stick pan, about 1 min per side. Enjoy!
