Whether you have kids, live an active/busy lifestyle, or simply want a tasty snack that’s also super healthy, these protein balls are where it’s at! Not only are they yummy, but they are quick, simple, healthy, & require no fancy expensive ingredients.

These high protein vegan no bake energy balls basically taste like dessert but are actually very good for you! If you are craving something sweet but don’t want something full of refined sugars and ingredients you can’t even name, you can readily make these in place of cake or cookies.

These treats are also no bake, so don’t even worry if you don’t have an oven. The high protein vegan no bake energy balls are also the perfect treat for when it’s summertime and you don’t want to heat up your whole house by turning on the oven so you can bake (been there, done that!).

How to Make the Protein Energy Balls

All you need for this recipe is blender or food processor, a mixing bowl, and 7 simple ingredients!

You will need oat flour, peanut butter or any nut butter of your choice, maple syrup or agave, chocolate protein power (I used one from Orgain), plant milk (I used unsweetened almond), vanilla extract, and vegan chocolate chips! If you prefer a milder flavor than peanut butter, I suggest subbing almond butter for the peanut butter as it is milder in taste. You could also sub out the chocolate chips for other add ins if you wanted to make different flavored energy balls! As long as you have the oat flour, liquid sweetener, a nut butter, and any plant based protein powder than you are good to go!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 C. Quick Oats ground to make oat flour
  • 1/2 C. Peanut Butter or any nut butter of your choice
  • 1/3 C. Plant Based Chocolate Protein Powder I used one from Orgain
  • 4 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Agave
  • 1/2 C. Unsweetened Plant Milk I used Almond
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract optional
  • 1 Handful Vegan Chocolate Chips you can add as little or as much as you like here

Instructions
 

  • Grind the oats in blender or food processor until a fine flour is formed
  • Add the oat flour and protein powder and combine in a medium to large sized mixing bowl
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, besides the chocolate chips, and mix until everything is thoroughly combined into a dough (it will look kind of like cookie dough).
  • Fold in the chocolate chips
  • With your hands, form into 9-10 evenly sized balls. You can use a cookie scoop if you want perfectly sized balls, or you can just eye ball it!
  • Place the balls on to a cookie tray or large plate and put in fridge to chill for 15 min.
  • After the balls have chilled in the fridge, they will be ready to enjoy!
