For the longest time I have missed out on a good vegan cheese sauce! Sure, you might be able to purchase vegan cheese alternatives at your local grocery store, but I have’t seen many vegan cheese sauces readily available yet. There have been so many times that I craved nachos with vegan cheese that actually had nacho cheese consistency, if you know what I mean!
Well, I am happy to tell you that I finally perfected this vegan cheese sauce recipe and it is to die for! Surprisingly, it’s very simple and easy to make, which are always my favorite types of recipes. This recipe requires minimal ingredients, time, and effort! This cheese sauce is something your whole family will enjoy, even your kids will love it!
How to Make the Cheese Sauce
To make this easy vegan cheese sauce, you will need:
- Raw Cashews
- Vegetable Stock
- Nutritional Yeast
- Garlic
- Paprika
- Salt
- Start by soaking the cashews for about 2 hours or you can do overnight. If you want to enjoy this for dinner or at the end of your day, you can start soaking the cashews in the morning so that they will be ready to go by the afternoon!
- Once the cashews have soaked for at least 2 hours, add them to a blender along with the rest of the ingredients and blend until you get a smooth, creamy consistency!
- Enjoy as a dip, drizzle over nachos, or use as a mac and cheese sauce!
This cheese is great for when you are hosting parties because it’s so simple and easy to make. Pair it tortilla chips or even roasted veggies. The ways you can serve this vegan cheese sauce are endless!

Ingredients
- 1 C Raw Cashews unsalted
- 3/4 C Vegetable Stock
- 1/4 C Nutritional Yeast
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Soak cashews for at least 2 hours or overnight
- Add the soaked cashews to a high speed blender or food processor along with the rest of the ingredients
- Blend until a smooth, creamy consistency is reached
